Surprise dear friend of mine! Many of you know Andrea is having a girl, so I joined the list of girls below to help Jenn and Hopethrow an online baby shower for her. While we all wish we could be with her today, Hope and Gabrielle are meeting with Andrea today to deliver our presents and take pictures for all to see.
So since I can't be with you today, Andrea, Coe Polk and I had our own little baby shower for you in celebration of the wonderful mother you are and will become yet again as you welcome sweet girl into this world.
So we decorated with one of our favorites...streamers of baby pink....
And pale scalloped papers...
And whipped up blush-tinted swiss meringue buttercream...
To frost vanilla-strawberry cup-e-cakes...
With extra icing just for you...
And pale pastel sanding sugars...
Sprinkled over cupcake toppers dancing all around...
And sweet royal-icing baby booties...
Next, I want to share my present with you, Andrea...
I made you a handmade box to keep your little memories of sweet girl through the years...
With box-pleated trim and vintage glass buttons to adorn the top...
And hand-stamped bluebirds to remind you of our love for you...
A look inside...
A bow to match the bluebirds of happiness...
A tiny bracelet for the "beautiful baby"...
And a strand of pearls for when she grows up and becomes the "blushing bride"...
Since I was unable to be with you as you opened my gift, I wanted to write you a few words...
And one to baby girl in hopes she will read this when she is older and know how adored she was even before she came into the world...
What would a baby shower be without some favors? I decided to make a few to share with all of you joining us today.
Blush pink boxes tied with measuring tape in anticipation of watching her grow...
Filled with fluffy pink mallows...
Mini-Hershey candies wrapped in pink papers tucked in a blush box...
Hammond's lollipops in bubblegum flavor...
Edible pearls, royal-icing posies, and sanding sugars for the guests to take home a little sweetness...
